A man has died and a woman is in a serious condition after being found unconscious at a house.
Police and paramedics were called to an address on Broxton Road, just off Woodchurch Lane in Ellesmere Port on Wednesday to reports a man and a woman had been found unconscious.
An air ambulance was seen landing in a field nearby as a witness described seeing paramedics running towards a garden. Cheshire Police has now confirmed a 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital by road ambulance where she remains in a serious condition. The incident is not believed to be suspicious at this time, police said.
A police spokesperson said: "At around 8.40am on Wednesday 8 March police were called to reports that two people, a man and a woman, had been found unconscious at an address on Broxton Road, Ellesmere Port.
"Police and paramedics attended the scene and a sadly a 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The woman was taken to the Countess of Chester Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
"At this time the incident is not believed to be suspicious and a case file will be prepared for the coroner."
