Gardai are hunting for those responsible for the violent beating of a 60-year-old man in Blanchardstown over the weekend.
According to investigating officers, Adnan Asic was walking towards Blanchardstown Road North coming from the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre when the horrific incident took place.
The man, who is originally from Bosnia but has lived in Ireland for over 30 years, was violently assaulted and has passed away as a result of his injuries.

Gardaí have launched an investigation and are continuing to appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of Blanchardstown Road North at the junction with the Old Navan Road or the N3 (Mulhuddart) Flyover and surrounding areas between 2am and 3am on Saturday, October 22, to contact the team at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
They are particularly interested in speaking with any road users travelling in these areas at these times who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make it available to Gardaí.
In a statement published on Monday evening, a garda spokesperson said: “Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the death of Adnan Asic, 60 years.
“In the early hours of Saturday 22nd October 2022, Adnan Asic was walking towards Blanchardstown Road North coming from the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre.
“He was violently assaulted and has died as a result of his injuries. Adnan is originally from Bosnia but he has lived in Ireland for over 30 years.
“A post-mortem examination was conducted on the evening of Saturday, 22nd October 2022, by State Pathologist Dr. Linda Mulligan, at Dublin City Mortuary, the results are not being released for operational reasons.
“An incident room has been established at Blanchardstown Garda Station and the investigation is being carried out under the direction of a Senior Investigating Officer.
“A Family Liaison Officer has been appointed and continues to keep the family informed of the investigation.”
