A man has died after the van he was driving entered the water at Banagher Marina in Offaly yesterday.
Gardai say they are investigating “all the circumstances” of the fatal road incident.
The van entered the water at around 5.30pm, with emergency services arriving shortly after.

The driver of the van, a man aged in his 70s, was treated at the scene and taken to Ballinasloe Hospital, where he later died.
He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The scene has been sealed off for a technical examination.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.
A spokesperson said: “Gardai are investigating all the circumstances following a fatal road incident that occurred on Sunday, 20th November 2022 at Banagher Marina, Co.Offaly.
“Gardai are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward. Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardai.
“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Birr Garda Station on 057 9169 710, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station.”
