A man has died more than two weeks after sustaining serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to an address on Ansdell Road, Widnes, at around 9.40pm on Thursday, March 23 following reports that a man had sustained serious injuries. Slawomir Grzegorz Sobolewsk, 61, was taken to Whiston Hospital but died yesterday (April 9).
Enquiries are underway to establish how Mr Sobolewsk, known locally as Greg, sustained these injuries and detectives are now asking anyone with information relating to this incident to contact Cheshire Police.

Detective Inspector Hannah Friend said: “At this stage this appears to be an isolated incident and we are doing everything we can to establish the exact circumstances of what has happened.
“We are following numerous lines of enquiry to establish what led to Slawomir’s death, and you will continue to see officers in and around the Ansdell Road area conducting house-to-house and CCTV enquiries.
“I would urge anyone who may have witnessed what happened, saw anything suspicious or unusual, or has any information which could assist officers with their enquiries, to contact us on 101 quoting incident number IML 1510674. You can also report information anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111."
