A man has died after police were called to a concern for safety.
Merseyside Police received a 999 call at around 11.40am on Monday, January 30, following a concern for the safety of a man on Gartons Lane, Clock Face. Once officers arrived at the scene in St Helens they found a man in his 40s unconscious.
The North West Ambulance Service was called to the scene and took the man to hospital, where he died.

The man's next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers. A scene is currently in place at the church on Gartons Lane.
A spokesperson from Merseyside Police said: "We can confirm that emergency services are on Clock Face in St Helens this afternoon. At around 11.40am we received a report of concern for safety of a man in his 40s who was found unconscious on Gartons Lane on Clock Face.
"Emergency services attended and he was taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced deceased. The man's next of kin have been informed and will be supported by specially trained officers."
Officers are in the early stages of investigating this incident and are appealing for any information or CCTV from the community.
