A man has died following a single-vehicle road collision in Dublin on Thursday afternoon.
The incident, which involved a car, happened on Corbawn Lane in Shankill, Dublin 18 at around 1.30pm.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene and discovered that the driver, who was the only person travelling in the car, had been critically injured.

He was taken to St Vincent's Hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead.
The road remains closed ahead of the arrival of Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact them.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí are investigating a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision which occurred on Corbawn Lane, Shankhill Dublin 18, this afternoon Thursday 23rd March, 2022.
"The collision involved a car and occurred at approximately 1:30pm. The male driver (80s) and sole occupant was critically injured in the collision. He was removed to St. Vincents Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
"The road is currently closed and the services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested. Local diversions are in place.
"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera footage (including dash-cam) are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Dun Laoghaire Garda Station on 01 666 5000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda Station."
