A man aged in his 40s has died after getting into difficulty swimming in Co Clare on Saturday.
Gardaí and emergency services responded to an incident at Ballyalla Lake in Ennis at around 5.45pm.
The man was removed from the water by local lifeguards.
A short time later, he was pronounced dead.
The man's body was then removed from the scene to Limerick Morgue.
