Man dies after collision involving truck on garage forecourt

A man has died after a collision with a truck on a garage forecourt in north Wales. The incident happened on Tuesday morning in the village of Bretton in Flintshire.

Emergency crews arrived at the Premier Garage in Chester Road shortly after 8.40am, following reports of a collision on the forecourt. It involved a Ford Ranger truck and a man from the Midlands area. To get the latest WalesOnline newsletters e-mailed to you directly for free, click here.

The man was taken to hospital by ambulance crews, but police have confirmed that he has died as a result of his injuries. The man’s name or age have not been disclosed at this time, but his next of kin have been informed by police. Officers are now asking any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

A spokesman for North Wales Police said: “We are appealing for witnesses to a road traffic collision in Flintshire today (Tuesday, 3 May) in which one man sadly died. The victim’s next of kin have been informed and our enquiries into this incident remain ongoing.

"We are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone who may have dashcam footage of this incident, to contact North Wales Police. Reports can be made online or via 101, quoting incident number B062423.”
