A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Adelaide's western suburbs on Saturday night.
Police and emergency services were called to Brighton Road in Brighton about 7:20pm, after reports that a car crashed into a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, a 47-year-old Brighton man, died at the scene.
It is understood the man was in a wheelchair.
The driver, a 26-year-old woman from Happy Valley, was not injured during the crash.
She was taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital where she had blood taken for analysis.
Brighton Road was closed to south-bound traffic from Sturt Road for several hours last night but has since reopened.
The man's death is the seventh life lost on South Australian roads this year compared to 14 at this time last year.
