A man has died after being found unconscious in the street in Prestwich.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on Whittaker Lane at around 9.05pm on Monday. Police said the man - aged in his 60s - was found unresponsive.
He sadly was pronounced dead at the scene. Enquiries are ongoing, a spokesperson for GMP said.

Officers cordoned off an area of Ogden Street, which is just off Whittaker Lane, after the incident. The scene remained in place for several hours yesterday, with officers guarding the cordon.
The taped off area was near to St Hilda's CofE Primary School and a number of shops. In a statement, a GMP spokesperson said: "Police were called around 9.05pm on Monday 21 March 2022 to Whittaker Lane, Prestwich to a report of a man being found unconscious.
"Emergency services attended and despite the best efforts of paramedics a man in his 60’s was sadly pronounced dead a short while later. Enquiries are ongoing."
