A man has died after being found with serious injuries inside a Scots property.
Emergency services rushed to a home in Ivanhoe, East Kilbride, shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, February 7, after a man in his forties was discovered seriously injured.
He received treatment from paramedics at the scene but sadly could not be saved and was pronounced dead a short time later.
The man's death is currently being treated as unexplained as police investigate what happened.
A post mortem examination will take place to establish the cause of death.
Anyone with information on the incident is being urged to get in touch with police via 101, quoting incident number 0460 of February 7.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Shortly after 7.05pm on February 7, a man in his 40s was found seriously injured within a property in Ivanhoe, East Kilbride.
“He was treated at the scene by paramedics but was pronounced dead a short time later.
“His death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem will take place in due course to establish his cause of death.
“Enquiries, which are at an early stage, are ongoing and anyone with information which may assist officers should get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0460 of February 7.”
