Man dies after being found seriously injured at East Kilbride property

A man has died after he was found seriously injured in an East Kilbride property on Tuesday night.

Emergency services rushed to Ivanhoe in the Calderwood area of the town at around 7.05pm.

Paramedics attempted to save the man in his 40s, however, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries into the incident are still ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Shortly after 7.05pm on Tuesday, 7 February 2023 a man in his 40s was found seriously injured within a property in Ivanhoe, East Kilbride.

“He was treated at the scene by paramedics but was pronounced dead a short time later.

“His death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem will take place in due course to establish his cause of death.

“Enquiries, which are at an early stage, are ongoing and anyone with information which may assist officers should get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 quoting incident number 0460 of 7 of February 2023.”
