A man has died after falling from his bike close to a main road in Wirral.
The incident took place on Coronation Drive, off New Chester Road in Bromborough, yesterday evening. Eyewitnesses described seeing a man receiving CPR.
Emergency services descended on the scene and the man, in his 70s, was taken to hospital where he was later pronounced dead. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "This incident on Coronation Drive in Bromborough was reported to us at 7.50pm, Tuesday October 11.

"It was referred to North West Ambulance Service as the man suffered a medical episode. He was sadly pronounced deceased at hospital."
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We were called to the scene at 18.37 to help a person requiring medical attention after falling from his bike. A man in his 70s was taken to hospital."
