Ryan Wesley Routh, the individual detained on Sunday in connection with the apparent attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump, was found driving his daughter's car at the time of his apprehension, as per a law enforcement source.
Routh's detainment occurred after the Secret Service noticed a rifle barrel protruding from a fence and subsequently fired at a man who was concealed in the bushes along the perimeter, as reported by Palm Beach County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw.
Following the encounter with the Secret Service, Routh attempted to flee in a vehicle and was eventually stopped on the highway where he was taken into custody.
