Man defends wife 37 years older than him as trolls say she looks like his nan

A couple with a 37-year age gap are standing up to trolls who brand their relationship "disgusting."

US-based 61-year-old Cheryl regularly flaunts her relationship with 24-year-old Quran on her TikTok ( @oliver6060 ), where she has 1.7 million followers.

Despite insisting they are in love, they often receive messages from people who question how genuine their relationship is, with some claiming he must only be with her because she's 'rich'.

Whereas others cruelly comment on Cheryl's appearance, saying she looks more like Quran's grandmother and a "fossil".

In one video, which has since been viewed more than 900,000 times, the couple listed all of the vicious comments they have received from trolls.

These included: "You married your grandma", "You're a fossil", "Y'all should break up", "This is sick", "He's using you", "This is necrophilia," and "You should get botox."

They then posted another short clip to the site explaining the "reasons people don't like us as a couple."

They said: "The 37 year age gap" and "because we're an interracial couple" and rounded it off with: "They can't find their own happiness."

Quran often posts videos defending Cheryl on his account ( @kingqurannewpage ), including one clip captioned "me defending my girl in the comments section" which sees him chuck a broom and cup at the phone camera.

Among negative comments, many TikTok users have rushed to their defence, leaving messages of support.

One person said: "The comments are so disrespectful, unbelievable... don't you see that it hurts her a lot and she's crying because of it?"

Another wrote: "If they are happy leave them alone!"

A third commented: "Guys it's not your relationship. You don't have the authority to judge them and leave mean comments."

Previously, in a video that has since been deleted, Quran and Cheryl responded to the question "do your family approve of y'all dating?", which was asked by a viewer.

In unison, they say "yeah", revealing that her children - who he has said are all older than him - are happy for them.
