A driver was killed in a single car road accident last night.
The horror happened on a country road which links Houston with Inchinnan.
The B790 remains sealed off this morning and has led to the forced closure of a busy farm attraction and shop on Mother's Day.
The incident happened at 11.50pm last night and police confirmed a man died at the scene.
A police helicopter was also involved in the aftermath and the car involved was reportedly on fire.
It happened near the Barnhill Farm food complex.
The back road - which used to be known as the George Town Road - links Houston with Inchinnan and is the only way people can reach the farm.
Barnhill Farm said: “Unfortunately, due to a road traffic accident on Houston Road, we have had to make the decision to close the shop today.
“Apologies to all for the inconvenience.”
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Officers attended a single car crash on Houston Road, Houston, around 11.50pm on Saturday, 26 March, 2022.
“A man died at the scene.
“The road remains closed while investigations are carried out.
