A man has died after being found unconscious.
Police were called to reports that a man had been found by a member of the public, at around 10pm on Thursday, April 20 on Borough Road. Officers set up a cordon and the man was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Merseyside Police are reporting they initially believed the man had suffered a medical episode, but enquiries are ongoing. CCTV examinations and witness enquiries are being carried out in the area and anyone who has information is being asked to contact police.

Detective inspector David Sung said: "Our sincere thoughts and condolences are with the family of the man who sadly died following this tragic incident.
"If you witnessed this incident on Borough Road last night at around 10pm or have any dashcam footage from your vehicle please contact police as soon as possible.
