A man has been rushed to hospital after a three-car smash in Oldham.
Emergency services were scrambled to Hollins Road, close to The Britannia pub, at around 5.30pm this afternoon (Thursday December 22) following the crash. Police, ambulances and fire crews from Oldham, Hollins and Ashton-under-Lyne were all in attendance.
A man was cut from one of the cars and taken to hospital for further treatment, a spokesman for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) confirmed. “At approximately 5.30pm on Thursday, 22 nd December, firefighters were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Hollins Road, in Oldham," a GMFRS spokesman said.

“Fire engines from Oldham, Hollins and Ashton-under-Lyne stations quickly attended the scene. The collision involved three vehicles.
“Firefighters used specialist cutting equipment to extricate a man from one of the vehicles, who was then transferred to the care of colleagues from NWAS and conveyed to hospital for further treatment. Fire crews were in attendance for around two hours.”
