Man Critically Injured Retrieving Lost Keys At Ohio Theme Park

A man was critically injured at a theme park in Ohio after apparently entering a restricted area to retrieve his lost keys. The incident occurred at Kings Island near Cincinnati, where the 38-year-old man was struck by a steel roller coaster. The man was found on the ground with an injury and was subsequently hospitalized in critical condition.

According to reports from Mason police, the man had dropped his keys while riding the Banshee, an inverted roller coaster at the park. He then entered a fenced area that was off-limits to visitors and was struck by the coaster. The Banshee is known as the world's longest steel inverted roller coaster, reaching speeds of up to 68 mph (109 kph).

Following the incident, the roller coaster was immediately shut down, and park officials have stated that it will remain closed while investigations are ongoing. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

Kings Island, located in Mason, approximately 24 miles northeast of Cincinnati, is a popular amusement park known for its thrilling rides and attractions.
