Erling Haaland is on the bench for Manchester City’s huge clash against Real Madrid in the CHampions League.

Pep Guardiola’s side must turn things around after Madrid beat City 3-2 in the first leg last week, staging yet another dramatic late comeback.

While the Premier League champions remain outsiders, confidence is high after City smashed Newcastle 4-0 on Saturday, with January signing Omar Marmoush scoring a hat-trick.

Guardiola suggested Haaland had avoided serious injury, having sparked concern when holding his knee after landing awkwardly during the Newcastle game before coming off. Now, he starts on the bench.

Ruben Dias starts, with Kevin De Bruyne and Jack Grealish joined on the bench by Nathan Ake.
