But despite the midfielder only starting one of the last eight Premier League fixtures, he gets the nod at Old Trafford as he captains the side.
“The impact of some players transcends even what you’ve done on this pitch,” said City boss Pep Guardiola when speaking about De Bruyne ahead of the game. “Kevin is one of them.”
Omar Marmoush scored in the midweek win over Leicester and will again lead the line with Erling Haaland out with an ankle injury.
Savinho and Jeremy Doku have been Guardiola’s preferred wingers of late, but Guardiola has opted for Bernardo Silva and Phil Goden on the flanks.
Abdukodir Khusanov doesn’t make an immediate return to the team as Josko Gvardiol continues in central defence which means another start for youngster Nico O’Reilly.
Manuel Akanji, Nathan Ake, John Stones remained sidelined for City, along with Rodri.
