Man City XI vs Crystal Palace: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Premier League today

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has made four changes for today’s Premier League meeting with Crystal Palace.

The reigning English top-flight champions are attempting to prove that they have really turned a corner this afternoon as they travel to Selhurst Park on the back of a morale-boosting 3-0 midweek home victory over Nottingham Forest that finally ended a damaging seven-match winless run across all competitions that had included four consecutive league losses.

And in a bid to record back-to-back victories, Guardiola has opted to freshen things up once again. Two changes are enforced, with Kyle Walker and Rico Lewis coming into the side at the expense of the injured Nathan Ake and Manuel Akanji, who has not been risked after being substituted at half-time in midweek.

The other alterations see Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku make way for Savinho and Matheus Nunes.

Kevin De Bruyne retains his place in the starting lineup after delivering an outstanding performance against Forest, weighing in with a goal and an assist inside the opening half an hour.

City will be desperate to build on that positive result before a difficult fixture run that sees Guardiola’s side face Juventus, Manchester United and Aston Villa before Christmas.

However, their task has been made all the more difficult with Palace turning a corner of their own of late as they’re now undefeated in their last four games and beat fellow strugglers Ipswich 1-0 on Tuesday night to move out of the relegation zone.

Eagles boss Oliver Glasner has made just one change to the team that started at Portman Road as Jefferson Lerma replaces Cheick Doucoure in central midfield.

Man City XI: Ortega; Walker, Dias, Gvardiol, Lewis, Gundogan, Bernardo, De Bruyne, Savinho, Nunes, Haaland

Crystal Palace XI: Henderson; Mitchell, Guehi, Lacroix, Chalobah, Munoz, Lerma, Hughes, Eze, Sarr, Mateta
