Manchester City have John Stones back and in the starting lineup for today’s Champions League group clash with Borussia Dortmund.
The England centre-back made a return to the City matchday squad for Saturday’s win over Brighton and is in from the off in what appears to be the right-back position.
A point is still needed to win the group and City will unlikely let up in their pursuit of progress, hoping to rest players for next week’s final group game against Sevilla.

The only slight concern regards Aymeric Laporte. During the closing stages of Saturday’s win, the Spanish international pulled up in discomfort, and he starts on the bench as Nathan Ake partners Ruben Dias.
Julian Alvarez is given a rare start, alongside Erling Haaland who makes his return to Dortmund. Phil Foden and Riyad Mahrez also start, with Kevin De Bruyne and Bernardo Silva on the bench for the visitors. Stefan Ortega Moreno makes his debut.
Kyle Walker remains injured as England wait to see if he will reach the World Cup, though Kalvin Phillips has returned to training on an individual basis at least.
Starting XI: Ortega, Stones, Dias, Ake, Cancelo, Mahrez, Rodrigo, Gundogan, Foden, Alvarez, Haaland
Subs: Ederson, Carson, Grealish, Laporte, De Bruyne, Bernardo, Akanji, Palmer, Lewis, Wilson-Esbrand
