Man City vs Nottingham Forest: Prediction, kick-off time today, TV, live stream, team news, h2h results, odds

Manchester City are tonight looking to end their crisis when they host Nottingham Forest.

City suffered a fourth Premier League defeat in a row at the weekend as they were comprehensively beaten 2-0 by Liverpool and now trail the leaders by 11 points after just 13 games.

Furthermore, it’s seven without a win across all competitions for Pep Guardiola’s side who in their last home game let a 3-0 lead slip to draw 3-3 with Feyenoord in the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Forest returned to winning ways at the weekend - following back-to-back defeats at the hands of Newcastle United and Arsenal - as they overcame Ipswich Town at the City Ground thanks to a Chris Wood penalty.

Just a point separates the two sides in the table heading into the game and the incentive for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side is victory would see them leapfrog the defending champions and pile on the misery.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest is scheduled for a 7.30pm GMT kick-off tonight on Wednesday, December 4, 2024.

The match will take place at the Etihad Stadium.

Man City vs Nottingham Forest team news

City could start Stefan Ortega in goal again, while Guardiola has confirmed Kevin De Bruyne is close to starting. John Stones, however, remains out - along with Rodri, Oscar Bobb and Mateo Kovacic.

Forest have a near fully fit squad to choose from. The only exceptions are long-term casualties Ibrahim Sangare and Danilo who aren't expected to return until the new year.

Man City vs Nottingham Forest prediction

Man City are in a crisis and usually this is the type of fixture they’d be expected to win comfortably. However, they are facing a side that has only lost once away from home in the league this season and beat Liverpool at Anfield.

The way Guardiola’s side are conceding goals is a concern and his previous battles against Espirito Santo suggests the winless run may extend to eight games.

1-1 draw.
