Manchester City are looking to reduce Arsenal's lead in the Premier League title race to just two points for a few hours at least as they welcome Eddie Howe's Newcastle United to the Etihad Stadium. Pep Guardiola will be looking to pile on the pressure after the draw at Nottingham Forest dropped the side back down to second in the league just three days after leapfrogging Arsenal to pole position.
Guardiola's side are the unsurprising favourites at 4/9 with Betfred while Howe and his team are 6/1 to produce a shock win while a draw is 18/5. City have the second longest winning home run against the Magpies with 13 and will look to equal Everton's record against Fulham at the weekend.
For Newcastle, they will be looking to return to winning ways after disappointment at Wembley last week and a four-match winless run in the Premier League. They will be delighted to welcome back Nick Pope to the squad but will need to address their current league form having picked up just one league win in their last five outings.
