Man City vs Arsenal moved to Friday night as live TV FA Cup fourth round fixtures decided

Manchester City will face Arsenal in the FA Cup fourth round on Friday January 27 after live TV fixtures were decided.

The Premier League's top two will go head-to-head at the Etihad Stadium in the tie of the round, with City having beaten Premier League rivals Chelsea 4-0 in the third round and Arsenal swatting aside League One Oxford United.

It will be the first meeting between the two clubs this season, with the Premier League fixtures scheduled for February 15 and April 26.

That clash will kick off the FA Cup weekend and will be screened live on ITV1, and will be followed by two live matches on Saturday as Preston North End host Tottenham (6pm, BBC One) and Manchester United take on Reading (8pm, ITV4).

Sunday then sees Brighton host either Liverpool or Wolves at the AMEX Stadium at 1.30pm on ITV1, and non-league high fliers Wrexham take on the Championship side Sheffield United on BBC One at 4.30pm.

The third round replay between Wolves and Liverpool at Molineux will be shown on BBC One this coming Tuesday, while Derby take on West Ham in the final live game on Monday January 30 at 7.45pm on ITV4.

On facing City in the FA Cup, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta said: “It is what it is. That happens, and you have to play the same teams in different competitions, and I will try to prepare for the game to win it, obviously.

“That game will be very different to the game that is in the league, but we know each other really well.

“Every team knows each other really well and I don’t think that will change too much."
