Manchester City are not ready to put Sheikh Mansour's thick chequebook away despite landing Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez to strengthen their attack.
The Blues are targeting Kalvin Phillips as they search for a midfielder to replace Fernandinho and are ready to open the bidding for Leeds' England international. There could also be departures from the Etihad and Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus are attracting much attention from City's Premier League rivals.
Both Sterling and Jesus are unsettled at City and are open to leaving this summer in search of new challenges. Mirror Sport has the latest City transfer news, including updates on Raheem Sterling and Kieran Tierney.
Chelsea will make second bid for Raheem Sterling
HITC carry a tweet from transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, claiming Chelsea are preparing a second bid for Raheem Sterling.
Romano claims Chelsea failed with a first bid worth around £22million plus add-ons for the England winger who has just one year left on his City deal. City are open to selling Sterling, who has become unsettled at the Etihad, and want around £50million for him.
Tottenham are also keen on Sterling, but it is Chelsea who are making the current running in the race to sign him.
Man City eye up Arsenal's Kieran Tierney
The Scotsman report that Pep Guardiola is keeping tabs on Kieran Tierney as he reviews his options at left-back.
Tierney's value to club and country has been underlined by Scotland's failure to reach the World Cup and Arsenal's collapse in their bid to finish in the top four while he has been out injured. Guardiola is a fan of Tierney and is considering a move for him with Oleksandr Zinchenko possibly leaving City this summer.
Tierney is one of the Premier League's best left-backs and has the added appeal of being comfortable on the left side of a three where he has played for Scotland.
Brighton defender prefers City over Chelsea
Caughtoffisde carries a report from The Athletic claiming Manchester City and Chelsea are both interested in Brighton's Marc Cucurella.
The Spanish full-back had an excellent first season with Brighton and has caught the eye of City and Chelsea. The report claims Cucurella would prefer to join City if he did quit the Amex Stadium and that the Seagulls would want £50million for him.
Brighton are said to be relaxed about the interest in him because he is tied down long term and has not expressed any desire to leave.
