Manchester City have been very busy in the transfer market, signing Erling Haaland, Julian Alvarez, Kalvin Phillips and Stefan Ortega Moreno and their focus has shifted to departures.
Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling have been the two biggest-name departures while Nathan Ake and Oleksandr Zinchenko's futures are uncertain.
City are tracking Brighton's Spanish defender Marc Cucurella and could make their move soon.
Mirror Sport has the latest City transfer news, including updates on Ake, Zinchenko and Cucurella.
Ake's move to Chelsea is off
talkSPORT carry a report from The Athletic which claims Chelsea's move for Nathan Ake has fallen through.
The report claims the deal is off because Chelsea would not meet City's £45million asking price for the Dutch centre-half.
Chelsea have already strengthened their defence by signing Khalidou Koulibaly Napoli and are also being linked with Sevilla's Jules Kounde.
City will not be too disappointed and boss Pep Guardiola feels Ake is a valuable member of his squad, even if he is fourth-choice among his centre-halves.
Arsenal-target Zinchenko 'frustrated' at City
The MEN carry quotes from former City winger Trevor Sinclair on talkSPORT about Arsenal's interest in Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Sinclair claims Zinchenko could be tempted to join the Gunners because he senses he is 'frustrated' at City because he is not a regular starter.
Sinclair said: "It [interest] doesn't surprise me. Mikel Arteta has worked with him when he was at City and knows what great quality he has got.
"He knows what a great kid he is as well. I can also see the player a little bit frustrated. He's been at City for a long time and he does play, at times, but he doesn't play the A games."
Potter reveals Cucurella's response to City's interest
Sussex World have detailed Brighton boss Graham Potter's response to Manchester City's interest in Marc Cucurella.
City are being linked with a £50million bid for Cucurella and Potter claims the Spanish defender is unfazed by all the talk.
"He's [Cucurella] been himself, he's trained really well and is liked by everyone in the group,," said Potter. "Everyone loves him and he's just trained and played as normal.
"It's part of being a footballer that you have to deal with the speculation that is out there. It's nothing you can control, but he's been a top professional."
