Man City transfer news: Everton 'want' Oleksandr Zinchenko plus Gabriel Jesus latest

Some Manchester City players may be lying on beaches safe in the knowledge that their next campaign at the Etihad is secured but those surplus to requirements are facing a busy week.

Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko look to be on their way out of the Premier League champions if the noises from agents are to be believed. And movement on both are expected in the next week with Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle and Everton all being linked.

Mirror Sport takes a look at all of the latest City transfer news and rumours as Pep Guardiola begins to decide which players will be part of his squad for next season's campaign and who will be let go.

Ukraine star on the move

Everton and Newcastle United have both been offered the chance to sign Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer according to a report in The Athletic. Zinchenko faces a massive week with Ukraine set to try and get past first Scotland and then Wales to secure World Cup qualification. And he will go into the crunch game at Hampden Park in fine form having played his part as City retained their Premier League crown this past season.

In the latter stages of the campaign he stepped up the plate brilliantly after injuries and suspensions left Pep Guardiola short of defensive options. Since their last day victory he has been touted around clubs such as Arsenal, Newcastle and Everton. Newcastle have emerged as a possible destination given their increased budget but there has been no firm interest so far.

Turf Moor reunion on the cards

Promising young defender Taylor Harwood-Bellis is looking forward to a possible reunion with Vincent Kompany at Turf Moor. The former City legend is hotly tipped to take over at relegated Burnley and could make an early grab to bring Harwood-Bellis with him. And according to the Burnley Express the admiration is mutual after a loan spell under Kompany at Anderlecht. The Stockport-born England Under-21 captain spent the second half of the 2020/21 season on loan at Blackburn, before Kompany took him to Anderlecht at the start of last season.

Harwood-Bellis returned to England in January where he joined Stoke on loan for the remainder of the season, making 24 appearances for the Potters. “I have learned a lot playing under him and the standards he set. They are impeccable,” said the young defender of Kompany. “He comes in every day and does everything he can to make himself and everyone better and he is a winner in the way he behaves and speaks.”

Jesus departure still likely

Gabriel Jesus’s agent Marcelo Pettinati wants the player’s future sorted out on his return from international duty. Brazil have friendlies against South Korea, Japan and Argentina scheduled between June 2-11. And while he is away Pettinati is expecting movement from Arsenal on firming up an £25million offer or back out to allow Spurs to table a bid, according to the Manchester Evening News. Jesus is in high demand despite Erling Haaland ’s big money transfer nudging him down the pecking order at City. And he is expected to be on his way to north London with Arsenal favourites to land a versatile forward who can be deployed in a variety of roles.
