Manchester City plan to keep spending after landing Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez and their next major target is Leeds' Kalvin Phillips.
City want Phillips to replace the departed Fernandinho and are preparing to open official talks with Leeds. City must also come to a decision over the futures of Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Ilkay Gundogan and all three have just a year left on their contracts and are attracting much interest.
Barcelona remain keen on Bernardo Silva, who almost left City last summer, while the Blues like Brighton defender Marc Cucurella. Mirror Sport has the latest transfer news from the Etihad, including an update on Silva's future.
Barcelona 'fully convinced' over Silva
Football365 carry a report from Spanish journalist Helena Condis of Cope, which claims Barcelona believe they will sign Silva this summer.
Pep Guardiola has ruled out a move, saying it is his feeling that the Portugal star will remain at the Etihad. But Condis has tweeted saying Barca officials have spoken to City and are fully convinced they can land Silva.
But she ruled out a swap deal involving Manchester United-target Frenkie de Jong, claiming the Blues were not keen. They report that Silva and his agent Jorge Mendes are keen on a move to the Nou Camp and that City will grant him his wish.

City reaction to Haaland 'escape clause'
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has tried to stir the pot over Haaland claiming he has an escape clause and will join them in 2024. But the Manchester Evening News claim the Blues are relaxed about Perez's claims and are confident Haaland will stay long term. City have not disclosed any details about the striker's buy-out clause and Bild in Germany claim it is worth 150million euros. City feel Perez's claims smack of sour grapes because Haaland chose them and believe the Norway hitman will be very happy at the Etihad
Cucurella makes Barca admission
Sussex World claim Brighton defender Cucurella has a dream club in mind should he quit the Seagulls. Cucurella is attracting interest from Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle after an impressive first season at the Amex Stadium. But the Spanish left-back would prefer to move back to Barcelona, where he began his career, if Brighton were to cash in on him. “I’ve been there for many years at Barca,” said Cucurella last year. “That it’s my home and my wife’s, who is from Barcelona. I have a thorn in my side because I made my debut in the first team, but I was never able to play at Camp Nou. It's something I’d like to do before I leave football.
