Manchester City have already landed Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund to begin their summer transfer spending spree and are keen to strengthen their squad further to ensure they keep ahead of Premier League rivals Liverpool.
Pep Guardiola's side are also reportedly targeting Leeds and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips as they search for a replacement for Fernandinho, who has confirmed he will be leaving the Etihad on a free transfer when his contract expires.

Interest in Sterling
Sterling's future is the subject of debate with the England forward entering the final year of his contract at City. Arsenal would love to lure him to the Etihad and now Chelsea are monitoring his situation, according to the Daily Telegraph. Chelsea finally have clarity over their ownership after Todd Boehly's £4.25billion takeover was approved by the UK Government and the Premier League and they would be interested in signing Sterling. Boss Thomas Tuchel wants to revamp his squad and is willing to consider offers for Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic to make way for Sterling.

Japanese defender's future
City have told Japanese defenderItakura he can leave this summer because he is not part of Guardiola's first-team plans. Itakura, 25, spent the season on loan at Schalke and the Bundesliga side have the option to buy him for £6million. The Manchester Evening News claim Celtic and Freiburg are also interested in Itakura amid reports that Schalke may struggle to pay his £6million fee. Itakura joined City in 2019 and has not played a single senior game under Guardiola.
Juve want Jesus
Arsenal in already in talks with Jesus about swapping the Etihad for the Emirates and now he is wanted in Italy. Il Corriere dello Sport claim that Juventus are monitoring his situation and the Brazil striker's contract at City expires next summer. Juve are keen to make changes after finishing trophyless for the first time in 11 seasons and feel Jesus could be persuaded to leave City this summer. Jesus' first-team opportunities could be impacted by Haaland's arrival and he could well quit the Etihad.
