It was a case of one in and one out at Manchester City in January, as their predictably quiet transfer window largely played out as expected.
Youngster Maximo Perrone was the only incoming transfer, who joins to be assessed for any future role, with Joao Cancelo's late loan exit to Bayern Munich the headline transfer in January.
Cancelo opted to leave City on loan after becoming unhappy with dropping out of the City side in recent weeks and will be a Bayern player until the end of the season. Then, the German club have a £61million option to make the move permanent - although Cancelo himself suggested he would be open to returning to City.

Perrone will arrive in Manchester soon after his campaign with Argentina at the South American under-20 Championships ended earlier than expected, and the 20-year-old will train with City's first team until the end of the season. Then, a decision will be made over whether he remains at the Etihad next season or leaves on loan.
Elsewhere, winger Kayky left City to join new City Football Club sister club Bahia on loan for the whole of 2023, while CFG midfielder Diego Rosa left permanently to join Bahia. Left-back Josh Wilson-Esbrand has joined Coventry on loan in the Championship until the end of the season.
Another move on deadline day saw centre-back Luke Mbete recalled from his loan at Huddersfield due to a lack of game-time, and sent out on loan to Bolton in League One, to join fellow City player James Trafford. Earlier in the window, striker Liam Delap swapped Stoke for Preston on another loan deal.
