Man City transfer gossip: Erling Haaland blow as Ryan Gravenberch 'interest' revealed

Manchester City have suffered a fresh blow to their hopes of signing Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland, according to reports.

The Norwegian is set to leave Germany this summer when a £68million release clause kicks in on his contract with BVB.

But reports have suggested he may not want a move to Pep Guardiola's side.

It comes after claims that City are ready to rival Real Madrid for the signature of Ajax wonderkid Ryan Gravenberch.

And after being linked with Barcelona during this month's January transfer window, Raheem Sterling could be set to leave the club this summer instead.

Here are all the latest Man City transfer rumours.

Have Your Say! Who do you want Man City to sign in January? Let us know in the comments here.

City 'ready to sell Sterling'

Manchester City are prepared to sell England winger Raheem Sterling this summer if the player has not signed a new contract by then, it is claimed.

Sterling was linked with a move to Barcelona at the start of the month before the Catalans instead opted to bring in former City teammate Ferran Torres.

But with Sterling's contract set to expire at the end of next season, the Daily Star reports that City "will be forced to cash in while they can still fetch around £50m" for the England international.

The player is said to have concerns about whether he will have a key role in Pep Guardiola's side moving forward, with contract negotiations having been on hold since this time last year.

'Interest' in Gravenberch

Manchester City have shown interest in signing Ajax midfielder Ryan Gravenberch, according to reports.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid could make a play for the Dutch midfielder this summer, but there is also serious interest from Man City.

The report adds that City, along with Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund, have "already shown their interest in the Netherlands midfielder" and could make a bid for the Ajax star, whose contract is set to expire at the end of next season.

Haaland blow

Erling Haaland "prefers to reject offers" from Manchester City in favour of a move to Spain, it is reported.

AS [via Sport Witness ] claim Haaland will also turn down PSG and United, with both the player and his family prioritising a move to Spain.

Haaland’s family are said to already own a home in Marbella, with the report suggesting the striker is keen to live in the country.

Real Madrid are expected to make a move for Haaland when a £68million release clause kicks in on his contract this summer, and rivals Barcelona are also said to be keen to sign the player.
