Man City 'to push Arsenal all the way' for Declan Rice and more transfer rumours

Manchester City and Chelsea are reportedly planning to push Arsenal all the way in the race to sign West Ham United ace Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider, the Blues remain keen on recruiting the England international, with Rice tipped to leave the London Stadium at the end of the season. The 24-year-old is out of contract next year and has previously spoken about his desire to play in the Champions League.

The report claims that the Hammers are reluctant to let him enter the final few months of his current deal - with the midfielder able to agree a move to a foreign club in January 2024. It adds that sources with knowledge of Rice's situation have revealed that West Ham may be able to command a fee of £70-80million for the player.

Rice has played every single minute for West Ham in the Premier League this season, registering two goals and three assists in 29 appearances. The 24-year-old impressed for England at the recent World Cup in Qatar and featured in all of the Three Lions' matches in the Middle East.

Elsewhere, Football Insider also report that City midfielder Bernardo Silva is open to joining Barcelona this summer, with the La Liga giants having maintained their interest in the 28-year-old.

However, the report claims that the £70million price tag placed on Silva by City has made the Catalan giants hesitant to move for the Portuguese ace. The Spanish side were heavily linked with a move for the midfielder last summer.

It adds that Bernardo is 'keen' on a move to Camp Nou, but he still remains a key player for Pep Guardiola, having made over 30 appearances in all competitions this campaign.

Bernardo has won four Premier League titles with City, as well as four EFL Cups and the FA Cup.
