Manchester City are reportedly set to battle it out with Real Madrid for the signing of Boca Juniors youngster Exequiel Zeballos.
The 20-year-old Argentine has been finding his feet with the iconic club and has made 46 appearances for the senior team, scoring five goals and grabbing three assists in the process. Zeballos has already made history by becoming the youngest player ever to sign a professional deal with Boca.
He is seen as an exceptional talent for his age and is also considered to be a dead-ball specialist. According to Fichajes, this is enough for City and Real to both throw their hats into the ring to snap him up.

After signing Julian Alvarez, City are understood to be keeping a close eye on the South American market in the hopes of picking up a hidden gem. Zeballos' contract is set to run until December 2026.
Elsewhere, City are being linked by Red Gol with a move for Universidad de Chile youngster Renato Huerta. It is understood that the Blues' attention has been drawn to this 'new diamond' who has reportedly surprised his coach Mauricio Pellegrino.
Huerta only joined the club this month but the 18-year-old right winger has alerted City due to his performances in friendlies. Should Pep Guardiola wish to sign the youngster, it is expected that he will command the fee of €2m.
The report claims that should their bid be successful, the plan would be to loan Huerta to City's affiliate club Palermo in Italy. Huerta is said to already have a European passport thanks to his Spanish heritage.
