Manchester City have registered an interest in Celta Vigo midfielder Gabri Veiga ahead of a potential summer transfer move, according to reports.
City are on the verge of sealing their fifth Premier League title in the space of six years after overhauling Arsenal in the table. They are also through to the finals of both the FA Cup and the Champions League as they aim to complete a treble.
But even though City are still in the hunt for three pieces of silverware in what could prove to be a historic campaign, they still have an eye on how to add to Pep Guardiola's remarkable squad this summer. A name has now emerged for one of the key areas of the pitch.

According to the Athletic, City are targeting Celta Vigo midfielder Veiga. It comes after it appears Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham appears unlikely to head to City, with the England international tipped to move to Real Madrid.
City could be facing the prospect of losing both Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva this summer. Gundogan is set to become a free agent this summer and though Silva has a contract until 2025, Barcelona have been linked with his services.
City could therefore turn to Veiga to fill any void which emerges in the central midfield department of their squad. He is about to turn 21, so is at a good age for City to bring in and develop further, with the potential of re-sale value later on down the line.
Elsewhere, Josko Gvardiol of Red Bull Leipzig is being tracked by City and could be targeted should Aymeric Laporte move on this summer. The Times reports that both Tottenham Hotspur and Barcelona are interested in his services, after making just 10 appearances for City in the Premier League this season and being down the pecking order in the heart of defence.
