Here are your Friday evening Manchester City headlines.]
John Stones blow
Pep Guardiola expects to be without John Stones for three to four weeks after the Manchester City defender suffered a hamstring injury against Arsenal.
Guardiola was not pleased with Stones on the night for his decision to play after assessing that he was not ready, and the England international is now set for another spell on the sidelines. Stones is now set to miss crunch Premier League games with Tottenham and Arsenal as well as a tricky trip to RB Leipzig in the first round of the Champions League knockouts.

The centre-back had only recently returned from one absence after missing two cup games and the league derby with United, but must now work his way back to full fitness again. City, meanwhile, will have to cope without another key player having allowed Joao Cancelo to leave on loan before the transfer window closed.
In better news, Guardiola did say that Phil Foden is fit to feature at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - a ground where City have never even scored, never mind won a point. Foden has missed the last few games after suffering a foot issue in the derby that he struggled to run off completely, but should be in the squad for the crunch Premier League game.
Joao Cancelo exit
Pep Guardiola suggested that tactical tweaks to the Manchester City team were behind Joao Cancelo's loan move to Bayern Munich.
Cancelo has been a key player for City over the last couple of years but started just three of 10 matches since the World Cup as he fell out of favour. As Guardiola demanded full effort from everyone even if they weren't playing, Cancelo's inability to hide his disappointment at not playing did not help him get back into the team.
It still came as a surprise to many to see Cancelo depart on deadline day, but the decision was taken to allow the player to leave and go to Bayern Munich on loan. The German side have an option to sign the player - who bagged an assist on his debut - at the end of the season for £61.6million.
Guardiola did not rule out the player returning next season as he paid tribute to his quality. But he accepted that Cancelo wanted to leave, and preferred to let him go rather than keep an unhappy player as he looks to continue with his different style of football.
