Liam Delap will look to kickstart his senior career at Hull City this season.
The former Derby youngster had a dream debut for Manchester City, scoring against Bournemouth in a Carabao Cup game in 2020. However, he struggled to get more opportunities under Pep Guardiola and has subsequently failed to make a big impression on loan at Championship sides at Stoke and Preston.
Delap has now joined Hull, aiming to crack the English second division at the third attempt as he spends a year in the north-east. Liam Rosenior's side finished 19th last season and are aiming to build on that with Delap hoping to play a big part.
City appreciate how difficult the Championship can be for players to make their mark given the enormous competition teams face every week. James McAtee, Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle all thrived last season.

While the club are happy to send Delap on loan, the fact that there is no option to buy indicates that his long-term future is still seen as being at the Etihad.
Delap is one of a number of Blues expected to head out on loan in order to get more regular first-team football, with Cole Palmer one of the most high-profile. The Wythenshawe playmaker struggled for opportunities last season and it is thought that more regular game time could see him take off; Brighton are the latest to be linked with a move.
