An Instagram account set up on behalf of Ronnie Foden, the son of Manchester City hero Phil, has amassed more than one million followers in just 24 hours.
The four-year-old has become a social media hit following his charismatic post-match celebrations with his dad amid City’s Treble-winning month. The youngster has earned the nickname ‘El Wey’, meaning ‘the dude’ in Spanish.
Ronnie also featured in City’s club documentary last year before being included in UEFA’s Champions League final documentary last week. It captured his amazing response to some young City fans chanting his 'Ronnie' - “they actually know my name!”
Now, his parents have set up an Instagram account in his name, with a reference to ‘El Wey’ in the bio. The account's first two photos - one of him on his dad’s shoulders walking down the tunnel in Istanbul and another of him posing with Sergio Aguero - has collected more than two million likes between them.

A series of snaps have been posted on his Instagram story too. They show Ronnie enjoying a holiday with the family in Mykonos this week, having fun on the beach and fishing with dad.
A video also shows him gleefully dancing on a table with family singing his name, while another shows him flipping into a swimming pool with the caption ‘That feeling when you hit one million’.
In other previous videos captured by club and broadcast cameras, Ronnie is shown to be a much-loved figure around the dressing room, when he is allowed in. Kyle Walker and Erling Haaland have been snapped playing and posing for photos with the youngster.
Phil Foden and partner Rebecca Cooke also have a daughter, born in 2021.
