Man City star Kevin de Bruyne just conducted a very spiky interview following Belgium's win over Wales

Belgium star Kevin De Bruyne conducted a spiky interview following his side's 2-1 Nations League win over Wales.

His Red Devils team were worthy winners over Rob Page's men in Brussels, completely dominating the first half.

In the build-up to the match the Manchester City star said he was "bored" of facing Wales in international fixtures, having come up against them so many times in recent years during tournaments and qualifying campaigns.

The hosts were the far superior outfit in the opening half, with the midfielder himself opening the scoring with a sublime strike that beat keep Wayne Hennessey low down to his left.

But after the turnaround, the visitors were much improved and put the hosts on the backfoot, grabbing a goal through Kieffer Moore, but De Bruyne didn't see it that way.

In a slightly awkward interview with S4C, he said: "I think we fully deserved to win. I think the first half we fully dominated, we created a lot of chances. Wales were playing man to man, so there were more options to play.

"I think the second half we started badly, but the only thing from our side is we have to keep the ball, we don't have to put too much pressure, because Wales were so deep. You have to wait for the right moment. That was the only thing I felt could have gone better. I never had the feeling Wales were going to press us.

"So it's a good way to understand how both systems work."

Pushed on how Wales forced them to show two sides of their game, he responded: "Well I saw a different game. I saw two chances for Wales, I don't know what other chances people saw, OK, it is what it is."
