Man City star holds up Man Utd's Barcelona deal as Joao Felix 'tempted' by transfer

Pep Guardiola has snapped up their key targets during the summer transfer window but Manchester City's transfer business shows no signs of slowing down ahead of the new campaign.

City have landed their Norway striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, England midfielder Kalvin Phillips has joined from Leeds and German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega has been signed from Arminia Bielefeld.

City are now looking to move on some players to balance the books but that does not mean there will not be any more arrivals at the Eithad Stadium. Mirror Sport has rounded up all the latest City transfer news and rumours.

Silva makes United wait

The most protracted transfer saga of the summer has taken a fresh twist, with Barcelona said to want to sign Manchester City's Bernardo Silva before letting Frenkie de Jong move to Manchester United..

The Daily Express claim sources in Spain say De Jong is new United boss Erik ten Hag's number one transfer target this summer, but report that Barca are digging their heels in and are insisting any deal is done on their terms, causing frustration at Old Trafford.

City eye Felix swoop

City have been quick out of the blocks this summer with the double signing of Haaland and Phillips, building on the January capture of Julian Alvarez, who also arrives at the club later this month.

But City boss Guardiola could swoop for Atletico Madrid attacker Joao Felix - who is also a target for Tottenham. Portugal star Felix is one of world football's brightest talents and could be tempted by a move to the Premier League according to sources cited by MSN.

Ake close to Chelsea return

Chelsea are closing in on re-signing former defender Nathan Ake from City, according to reports. The Evening Standard claim Stamford Bridge boss Thomas Tuchel could sign the Netherlands international "this week" and make it a double City swoop, with Chelsea also keen to complete a deal for Ake's City team-mate Raheem Sterling, for around £50million.
