Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has been named as one of two players with the highest current transfer value, according to a new model.
Research from the CIES Football Observatory pulled together information from over 1,000 clubs within 74 leagues across the world to estimate a transfer value for each individual player, based on form and current length of contract.
Haaland is estimated to be worth £175million (€200million), placing him at the top across Europe's top five leagues alongside Vinicius Jr. of Real Madrid. That value is almost four times the £51million (around €60million) that City paid for the striker just last summer by activating his release clause at Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an incredible debut campaign at the Etihad, exceeding all expectations with 51 goals in 47 appearances. His deft chip over West Ham's Lukasz Fabianski at the start of the month took him to 35 in the league to earn him the outright record for most goals in a Premier League campaign.
That is one of countless goalscoring records broken by the Norwegian this season and his goals could end up propelling City to an incredible treble, with the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup still up for grabs.
With current value affected by contract length, the model also includes a tool that estimates players' value under the scenario of a three-year contract to level the playing field. In this instance, Phil Foden is named as City's second most valuable asset as £131million (€150million), while Julian Alvarez and Rodri are third with £87million (€100million) - another notable calculation is Kevin De Bruyne, who is said to be worth just £44million (€50million).
As far as current values go, Haaland and Vinicius Jr. lead the pack, with Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe, Pedri and Jamal Musiala all valued at £131million (€150million).
