Pep Guardiola has a new problem ahead of him this summer - namely, how do you take a treble-winning team to the next level.
City finally ended their wait for a Champions League trophy by beating Inter in Istanbul. The victory, combined with a league title and victory over Manchester United in the FA Cup final, allowed them to emulate United's 1998-99 squad.
The biggest issue facing Guardiola could be the loss of some key players, with Ilkay Gundogan among those linked with an exit. Here, Mirror Football looks at the potential ins and outs ahead of another title tilt from the reigning league champions.
Goalkeeper and defence
There's not a great deal to worry about on the goalkeeping front. Ederson showed his worth in the Champions League final - and then some - while Stefan Ortega deputised well at times.
In front of him, long-serving right-back Kyle Walker has been linked with a return to Sheffield United after the Blades' promotion to the top flight. The England international was no longer an automatic pick towards the end of last season, though, with John Stones impressing in a quasi-right-back role which changes depending on whether or not City have the ball.

Nathan Ake developed into a Guardiola favourite on the left, with Manuel Akanji and Ruben Dias often the preferred pair in the middle. More of the same can be expected next term, though there's every chance City repeat the unexpected move for Swiss international Akanji and land a new defender who has yet to even be linked.
Midfield
The big issue facing City is the future of Guardiola's first City signing Ilkay Gundogan. The captain is out of contract, and has been weighing up his next move amid interest from some of Europe's big hitters after seven seasons in Manchester.
A move for Declan Rice could solve this problem, and City are reported to be actively seeking a move for the West Ham captain. Hammers boss David Moyes is a fan of out-of-favour City man Kalvin Phillips, opening up talk of a player-plus-cash deal, though Rice's potential preference for Arsenal could get in the way.
Elsewhere, Rodri's place seems safe, as does that of Kevin De Bruyne. However, City may feel the need to add a new face as the Belgian works his way back from injury.
Forwards
It feels instructive that it was Phil Foden, and not Riyad Mahrez, who replaced De Bruyne when he went off injured in the Champions League final. If Bernardo Silva ends up leaving - and once again there are suggestions he will - then Foden looks to be in pole position for that spot on the right.
The other leading contender is Riyad Mahrez. However, with interest from the Saudi Pro League, City could cash in if they receive a significant offer for the Algerian.
Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland have done little to suggest they won't be filling the other two spots in the front three next term. Julian Alvarez could be in line for more minutes over the course of the campaign, though, as he embarks on his second full season on City's books.
