An angry exchange between Portugal teammates Joao Cancelo and Cristiano Ronaldo has been captured on camera - just days after the latter was seemingly blanked by his Manchester United colleague Bruno Fernandes.
An explosive interview with Piers Morgan has thrust Ronaldo into the spotlight this week as his country gears up for the World Cup in Qatar, which kicks off on Sunday. But some of the 37-year-old's comments - including brutal criticism of club boss Erik ten Hag - have not gone down too well with colleagues.
And although a frosty exchange with Fernandes has since been downplayed by the midfielder, another awkward clip of Ronaldo and an international teammate has now gone viral.
In a clip, Ronaldo can be seen approaching Cancelo, with the Manchester City star visibly upset. After Ronaldo puts his arm around the back of the defender's head he appears to get even more agitated and pushes the Man United outcast away before walking off.
The bizarre interaction represents another unwanted distraction for Portugal ahead of their opening match against Ghana next Thursday.
Ronaldo's explosive, unsanctioned interview means the veteran heads into his final major tournament shrouded in controversy, with his club future uncertain.

Mirror Football understands that Ronaldo's teammates do not want the former Juventus man to return to the club after the World Cup following remarkable comments which saw him criticise both Ten Hag, the club's facilities, the Glazer family and high-profile former players such as Gary Neville and Wayne Rooney.
Ronaldo insisted that he had been "betrayed" by the club and claimed that he had no respect for Ten Hag, who has handed the striker a bit-part role this season.
Another report has claimed that several of Ronaldo's United colleagues are 'finished' with him following his latest misdemeanour, which comes just weeks after he refused to come on as a substitute in a match against Tottenham before storming out of the stadium.
Although some of Ronaldo's teammates have no appetite to work with him following his comments, Portugal midfielder Joao Mario denied talk of a rift between him and Fernandes following their awkward dressing room exchange.
Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the Benfica ace insisted: "I was in the locker room at that moment, I saw pictures.
"It was a joke between them because Bruno was one of the last to arrive and Cristiano asked if he had come by boat. It was a joke between them, they play together."
