Manchester City are reportedly willing to offer Rafael Leao a contract worth £200,000 per week in their bid to tempt him to the Etihad Stadium during the January transfer window.
According to Italian outlet tuttomercatoweb (via the Sun ), the Serie A star is set to be offered a mouth-watering deal that would see him earn more than £10million per year at City. The Blues have been hotly tipped to make a move for the Portugal international who will have only one year left on his contract come the summer.
AC Milan are believed to be desperate to get Leao to sign a new deal but simply cannot match City's financial firepower, the report states. The 23-year-old has scored seven goals and provided nine assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this season and has fast become one of the most sought after talents in Europe.

City may have to act quickly in the winter window should they want to wrap up a deal for Leao, as it is believed that Chelsea and Arsenal are also weighing up moves for the youngster.
Elsewhere, City appear to have suffered a blow in their pursuit of Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham.
According to ESPN, Real Madrid view Bellingham as a 'priority' signing and are willing to spend more than €100million (£88.66m) on the 19-year-old. The former Birmingham City man shone for England during the World Cup and has a host of suitors fighting for his signature.
Pep Guardiola knows first-hand just how good the teenager can be after Bellingham scored against City in the Champions League group stages earlier this season.
