Man City 'next stop' for Nottingham Forest star amid Arsenal and Tottenham transfer links

Djed Spence looks like a player destined to play in the Premier League, following another standout display for Nottingham Forest.

And “agent” Lyle Taylor agrees, with the front man making a cheeky quip on the back of Sunday’s thrilling 4-1 win over Leicester City.

On-loan Middlesbrough defender Spence netted his second goal in the Garibaldi to cap a memorable afternoon at the City Ground in the FA Cup.

He has been in sparkling form for the Reds since joining in the summer, and has gone from strength to strength under Steve Cooper, attracting a host of admirers along the way.

Premier League Tottenham Hotspur reportedly had two bids turned down last month, while Arsenal, Leeds United, Brentford, Southampton, Roma and Inter Milan have also been linked.

Forest fans have long made clear they would love to see the right-back sign on a permanent basis. Taylor was quick to jump on board that campaign last year, dubbing himself “agent Lyle” on social media as he teased he’d try to get a deal sorted.

After Spence shone against the Foxes however, Taylor jokes that may even prove to be beyond his skills now.

After the Reds had cruised into the fifth round of the cup, Spence posted a picture of himself celebrating on Instagram, writing: “PAINT THE TOWN RED!”

Taylor, who joined Birmingham City on loan in January, replied: “Not even Agent Lyle can save this deal now… Next stop Man City.” He added a crying with laughter face, a shrugging emoji and a sweating emoji alongside his comment.
