Pep Guardiola and his star-studded Manchester City team are unbeaten in their latest Premier League defence as clubs across the Home Nations prepare to pay tribute to the Queen following her death.
Fixtures scheduled for this Premier League matchday have been postponed as a mark of respect and that decision has been replicated further down the footballing pyramid. As such, there will no change to the early standings over this weekend with City sitting second on 14 points from their opening six matches.
Guardiola and his men trail Arsenal by a single point heading into this unplanned break after Erling Haaland scored ten goals to spearhead their early-season charge. Haaland, 22, has been in devastating form since his £51m transfer from Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund this summer window and City will be hoping it continues.
