Wycombe Wanderers claim they have beaten off stiff competition to secure Manchester City midfielder Kian Breckin on a season-long loan deal.
Breckin, 19, leaves City for his first taste of senior football, after playing a key role in the under-21s' title-winning campaign last season. The central midfielder stepped up from the under-18s to make 24 appearances, registering eight goals and four assists.
He also played every minute of City's EFL Trophy campaign against Football League opposition, including the impressive 3-1 win away at Derby. He started all but one league game until the title was won for Brian Barry-Murphy's side, before being rested for the final two games of the campaign.
Now, Breckin will get a first taste of senior football at Adams Park, with Wycombe hoping to build on their ninth-placed finish in League One last season. Their manager Matt Bloomfield was delighted to secure Breckin's signing, and thanked City for their support in making the loan happen.

“Kian has been on our radar for a long time and we’re thrilled that we’ve been able to bring him here," Bloomfield told the Wycombe website.
"Scott Mitchell, our new Head of Recruitment, has done a brilliant job in getting the deal over the line after weeks and weeks of hard work.
“There were a lot of clubs in for him but we know that the environment we’ve got here - in terms of the way we are going to play and the culture of looking after and developing players on and off the pitch - makes this an attractive place for players to come.
“He’s a really talented young lad with a big future in the game, and I know he’ll benefit from playing first-team football to add to the fantastic upbringing he’s already had in Manchester City’s youth setup.
