Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has admitted he doesn’t know whether he’ll be able to run again due to his heart condition.
The former striker was forced to retire from football back in December after suffering from a heart arrhythmia while playing for Barcelona.
Aguero was making only his fifth appearance for the Catalan giants since making the move from City during the summer, but had to be substituted during their 1-1 draw with Alaves in October after complaining of chest pains and dizziness.
After being taken to hospital for cardiac tests, Aguero was ruled out for three months, before he went on to announce his retirement in an emotional press conference at the Nou Camp.
Since his retirement, Aguero has been seen taking part in some exercise, having been filmed playing tennis last month as he seemingly looked to be in good health.
But City’s all-time leading goal-scorer has admitted during a Twitch stream that he still has issues, and has seemingly ruled out ever returning to football after admitting his “heart doesn’t work properly”.
"If I try to play football now, I run out of breath,” Aguero said.
“Sometimes I wonder if I will ever be able to sprint again. I just feel like my heart doesn't work properly.”
Despite suffering the arrhythmia on the pitch, Aguero had been hopeful that he would be able to make a return to playing following his trip to the hospital.

But the former Argentina international has revealed the moment he realised his career was coming to an end.
“The first 15 days I had a terrible time,” Aguero added.
“When it happened, I thought it was nothing and that I was going to be fine, but when I arrived in the hospital and they left me in a small room alone with a lot of monitors around me.
“I realised something was bad. And after two days hospitalised, I started to become nervous.”
