Manchester City legend Sergio Aguero has criticised former Manchester United star Zlatan Ibrahimovic for claiming that Argentina were disrespectful at the World Cup.
The Argentinian national team were widely criticised for what some deemed to be 'unsportsmanlike behaviour'. Against the Netherlands in the quarter-finals, temperatures boiled over between the two sets of players and fierce words were exchanged.
In the final, Aston Villa 'keeper Emi Martinez was booked after throwing the ball away during the penalty shootout and would later be seen during a victory parade in his home country mocking France star Kylian Mbappe. Commenting on Argentina's behaviour at the tournament, Ibrahimovic told France Inter: "Messi is considered the best player in history, I was sure he was going to win.

"What will happen is that Mbappe will still win a World Cup. I'm not worried about him.
"I'm worried about the others in Argentina, because they will not win anything more. Messi has won everything and he will be remembered, but the rest who behaved badly, we can't respect that.
"This is coming from me, speaking as a top professional player, that is a sign that you will win once, but you won't win again. You don't win like that."
An angry Aguero has since taken to Twitch to take aim at the 41-year-old and his behaviour while at United. The ex-City striker responded: "Let's remember that you also behaved badly, right?
"I remember that we played against United. I was on the bench.
"You were provoking, you were talking back. I think that before worrying about Argentina, you should worry about your country, about your players, who aren't even in the last World Cups.
"They didn't even qualify, but well, I don't know. I remember that you fought with [Nicolas] Otamendi in a game between City and United. You argued with Pep Guardiola.
"I imagine that's why he wanted to sell you from Barcelona. You disrespected my teammates.
"What's more, maybe you're also talking to me because I was there. I feel like you shot me and now I'm shooting you."
Aguero made headlines around the world when he was seen lifting the World Cup after Argentina's victory over France despite not being part of the squad. The 34-year-old had to retire from football after being diagnosed with a cardiac arrhythmia while playing for Barcelona.
